Obituary for Bryant W. Wortz
Bryant W. Wortz, 85 of Gettysburg, PA passed away on Saturday, May 19, 2018 at Menno Haven Rehabilitation Center in Chambersburg, PA. Born August 10, 1932 in Binghamton, New York, he was the son of the late Charles & Blanche (Geyer) Wortz. Bryant is survived by his wife of 66 years, Dorothy A. (Wherley) Wortz, a son, Ronald H. Wortz and wife Dianne of St. Paul, MN, twin granddaughters; Natalie and Alison, a brother, Charles Wortz and wife Dianne of Waynesboro, PA and many nieces and nephews. Bryant was an assistant manager at the Hanover, PA Sears Store for many years. He was a member of Mt. Joy Lutheran Church in Gettysburg and the Gettysburg Moose Lodge. He enjoyed playing golf, watching baseball and car racing on TV and was a longtime Baltimore Orioles fan. Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, May 26, 2018 at Mt. Joy Lutheran Church, 2615 Taneytown Road, Gettysburg, PA with Pastor Peter Naschke, officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
