Obituary for Gene Edward Weikert
: Gene Edward Weikert, age 49, of Fairfield, PA died suddenly at his home on Sunday, July 23, 2017. Born July 1, 1968 in Gettysburg, PA, he was the son of Judy Ann (Valentine) Weikert of Fairfield and the late John M. Weikert who died in 2007. Gene enjoyed the outdoors, riding motorcycles, fishing, playing golf and rooting for his favorite football teams. In addition to his mother, Gene is survived by his wife, Cindy J. (Haines) Weikert, daughter, Amber Renee Weikert and fiancé Bryson of Hagerstown, MD, 2 sons; Justin M. Kwarta of Fairfield and Joshua Adam Weikert and wife Amanda of Emmitsburg, MD, grandson, Kyler Chance, brother, John M. Weikert, Jr. and wife Melissa of Gettysburg, 2 sisters; Robin Czarnopys and husband Ben of Dallas, TX and Kris Williams and husband Jonathan of Bendersville, PA and a number of nieces and nephews. A graveside funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, July 29, 2017 at the Fairfield Union Cemetery.
