John R. Smith, Jr., 64 of Gettysburg, PA died suddenly at his home on Monday, May 21, 2018. Born in Baltimore, Maryland on August 29, 1953, he was the son of John R. & Doris S. (Spohn) Smith, Sr. of Hanover, PA. John was the owner and operator of the former Keystone Country Furniture Co. in Aspers, PA before his retirement. John enjoyed fishing and crabbing. In addition to his parents, John is survived by his son, John R. Smith, III of Gettysburg, a sister, Sharon Kennedy of Hampstead, MD and a brother, Jeffrey Smith of Waxahachie, Texas. A Memorial Service for John is being planned for a later date. The Monahan Funeral Home in Gettysburg is assisting the family with the arrangements.
