Obituary for Marie K. Davis
Marie K. Davis, 73, of Bonneauville, passed away Wednesday evening, November 15, 2017, at her home surrounded by family and loved ones.
Born April 28, 1944 in Gettysburg, PA, she was the daughter of the late Vincent Bernard Reese and Goldie Orner Sanders. She was the wife of her late husband John W. (Bud) Davis for 50 years prior to his passing November 16, 2015.
Marie worked various jobs in the sewing profession. She was employed by Dallco Industries, Blosser Baby Shoes, and Arendtsville Sewing Factory.
She enjoyed gardening and was especially fond of her flowers.
She is survived by her son, John Michael Davis; her son-in-law, Joseph Livelsberger; her granddaughter, Ruth Staub and her spouse, Michael Staub; her great grandchildren, James and Jacquelyn Waggoner, all the above of Bonneauville, PA. Her sisters, Betty Speilman, Judy Strausbaugh, and Mary Reese. Her brothers, Joe Reese and Jim Reese. Along with various nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her brothers, Charles Reese, John Reese, George Reese, and her sister, Dorothy Brunner.
Funeral services will be held 11:00 AM, Monday, November 20, 2017 at the Monahan Funeral Home, 27 East Main St., Fairfield, PA. Burial will be in the Fairfield Union Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 2-4 PM, Sunday afternoon, November 19, 2017 at the funeral home as well as from 10:00 AM until the time of the service Monday morning.
