Martha L. Adams, 97, The Brethren Home Community, died Wednesday, February 15, 2017 at the Brethren Home.
She was born September 5, 1919 in Straban Township, Adams County, PA the daughter of the late Robert Roy and Norway Trimmer Weaver. Her husband Roland Adams died in ?.
Martha was a member of St. John’s United Church of Christ in New Chester, PA. She was a 1937 graduate of Gettysburg High School and for many years was employed for several garment manufacturing companies in the area.
Mrs. Adams is survived by several niece, nephews, great nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a son, Charles Adams.
Funeral services will be held Sunday, February 19, 2017 at 2:00 PM in Nicarry Chapel at the Brethren Home with Rev. Douglas Hahn and Rev. Linda Titzell officiating. Interment will be in Evergreen Cemetery, Gettysburg, PA. In lieu of flowers memorials can be made to St. John’s UCC, 2243 Hunterstown-Hampton Road, New Oxford, PA 17350.
