Obituary for Mildred R. McDonald
Mildred R. McDonald, 73, 174 Nicole Street, Marietta, PA died Saturday, July 14, 2018 at her home.
She was born February 27, 1945 in Biglerville, PA the daughter of the late Elmer and Irene Geigley Weaver. Her husband Daniel McDonald died in 2014.
Mildred was a 1962 graduate of Gettysburg High School and a 1965 graduate of Hanover School of Nursing. In 1984 she met and married her husband Daniel. Over the years, Mildred worked at several institutions as a nurse including, York Hospital, Conestoga View Nursing Home and finally at Lab Care in New Jersey. She enjoyed knitting, watching TV and her pet birds.
Mrs. McDonald is survived by her brothers and sisters; Harold Weaver of Gettysburg, PA, Dorothy Sensenig of Kentucky, Susan Sensenig of Ephrata, PA, Wilma Kunkle of Marietta, PA, Mary Jane Good of Myerstown, PA and several nieces and nephews.
Graveside funeral services will be held Thursday. July 19, 2018 at 3:00 PM at Mummasburg Mennonite Cemetery with her nephew, Keith Sensenig officiating. There will be a viewing on Thursday at Monahan Funeral Home in Gettysburg from 1:00 PM until 2:45 PM. In lieu of flowers memorial can be made to the family to defray funeral expenses, c/o Heidi Rapp, 174 Nicole Street, Marietta, PA 17547.
