Obituary for Robert D. Foote
Robert D. Foote, 59 of Gettysburg, PA passed away on Saturday, September 1, 2018 at The Gardens at Gettysburg Nursing Center with his wife, daughters and family by his side.
Born in Gettysburg, PA on March 13, 1959, he was the son of the late Robert & Helen R. (Rout) Foote. When Robert was 10 years old he moved to Florida with his family, he returned to Gettysburg in 2002. Robert was a self-employed auto body repair technician. He was very passionate about his work and was excellent at restoring and building cars. He loved to watch NHRA racing and was active in the local drag racing circuit.
Robert is survived by his wife of 40 years, Charlotte K. (Andrews) Foote, two daughters: Candace Gillis and husband Bruce of Fort Pierce, FL and Crystal Lansing and husband Dustin of Jensen Beach, FL, six grandchildren, five great grandchildren, a sister, Marty Shindledecker and her husband Kerm of Gettysburg, four nieces, a nephew, three great nieces and two brother in laws; John Johnson of Fort Pierce, FL and Chris Connor of Vero Beach, FL. In addition to his parents, Robert was predeceased by two sisters; Janet Johnson and Mary Connor.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Friday, September 7, 2018 at the Lake Heritage Community Center, 1000 Heritage Drive, Gettysburg from 5:00-7:30 p.m. Online tributes and condolences can be made at monahanfuneralhome.com.
