Obituary for Ruth H. Gulden
Ruth H. Gulden, 98, of Gettysburg, PA passed away Tuesday morning, March 28, 2017 at Transitions Healthcare, Gettysburg.
Born April 5, 1918 in Wenksville, PA she was the daughter of the late Waybright and Catherine (Kuhn) Black. She was the wife of the late Donald C. Gulden who passed away November 7, 2007.
Ruth was a devoted and loving mother to her eight children. She enjoyed going dancing with her husband and spent many Saturday nights attending dances in the area.
She is survived by her seven children, Joyce Steinour, Vonnie Wherley, Patsy Chilcote, Cecil Gulden, Mike Gulden, Dave Gulden, Keith Gulden, all of Gettysburg, 17 grandchildren, 22 great grandchildren, 10 great great grandchildren, her sister Dorothy Heller, of Biglerville, her brother, Donald Black, of Wenksville, and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her son, Wayne Gulden, two grandchildren, one great grandchild, four sisters, Sara Taylor, Alice Showers, Marvel McCauslin, Edna Showers, Mearl Miller, and three brothers, Waybright Black, Jr., John Black, and Charles Black.
Funeral services will be held 11:00 AM, Friday, March 31, 2017 at the Monahan Funeral Home, 125 Carlisle St., Gettysburg with Rev. Michael Allwein officiating. Burial will be in Oak Lawn Memorial Gardens, Gettysburg. The family will receive friends from 10:00 AM until the time of the service, Friday morning at the funeral home.
