Born May 22, 1942 in Baltimore, MD she was the daughter of the late Donald and Mary (Tennis) Biggins. Alice spent her early years in Bellwood, PA where she remained through 3rd grade. She then moved to Harrisburg, PA where she attended school into 8th grade. This is when her family moved and settled in Gettysburg, and where she subsequently graduated from Gettysburg High School in 1960.

Alice worked as a customer service representative at Adams Electric Cooperative, Gettysburg for many years before and after working as a secretary with the Gettysburg Hospital in the Migrant Health Office. Alice was a former member of the Canonaders, a Gettysburg based square dancing club. She had a love of antiques and could often be found at flea markets. Alice had a particular fondness for card games, with many hours spent playing with her family. She was a lifetime member of the Gettysburg Presbyterian Church, where she previously served as an Elder. She showed great devotion to her community as a long time member of the Jaycettes, and as a member of the Xi Alpha Chi (Gettysburg) Chapter of the international Beta Sigma Phi sorority. Alice was also a member of the former Gettysburg Elks Lodge, and the Adams County Republicans.

She is survived by her son, Marc Scott, of Churchville, PA, her three grandchildren, Parker, Megan, Brooke, her sister, Marilyn Ketterman of Biglerville, her two brothers, Donnie Biggins of Hanover and Thomas Biggins of South Carolina, and a number of nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her brother, Jack Biggins of McKnightstown in 1996.

The Monahan Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements and online condolences may be made at monahanfuneralhome.com.
