Obituary for Althea I. Myers
Althea I. Myers, 98, Fairfield Road, Fairfield, PA died Tuesday, May 7, 2019 at the Gettysburg Hospital.
She was born June 8, 1920 in Fairfield, PA the daughter of Sherman and Alma Grace Baltzley Sites. He husband Raymond L. Myers died in 1994.
Mrs. Myers was a member of St. John Lutheran Church. She loved to play bingo at the Fairfield Fire Hall and had been doing so since it's inception. Althea was a very good cook who enjoyed passing down family recipes. She was an avid gardener. Althea and her husband were involved with Pippenfest and selling various items through the years.
Mrs. Myers is survived by four children; Nancy Myers of Gettysburg, PA, Jay Myers and his companion, Jane Reaver of Fairfield, PA, Linda Campolong of Biglerville, PA, Guy Myers and his wife Fran of Fairfield, PA, three grandchildren; Ryan Campolong, Marissa Campolong, Stacy Sechrist and her husband David, three great grandchildren; Matthew Sechrist, Alex Sechrist, Chloe Sechrist. She was predeceased by a brother, Junie Sites.
Funeral services will be held Monday, May 13, 2019 at 2:00 PM from Monahan Funeral Home in Fairfield, PA with Rev. Beverly Donella officiating. Interment will be in Fairfield Union Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Monday from1:00 PM until 2:00 PM.
