Anna R. Kuykendall, 88, Gettysburg, PA passed away on Sunday, November 17, 2024 at Mercy House Hospice, Chambersburg, PA.
She was born May 18, 1936 in Old Fields, WV the daughter of the late George and Lula Shears McDonald. Her husband, Melvin Kuykendall died in 1984.
For over 20 years Anna was a housekeeper at Green Acres Nursing Home in Gettysburg until her retirement. She enjoyed reading, crossword puzzles and watching TV Western’s. But most of all she loved time with her family especially her grandchildren.
Anna is survived by four sons; Melvin Kuykendall, Jr. and his wife Carol Hedrick of Gettysburg, PA, Jimmy Kuykendall and his wife Sharon of Orrtanna, PA, Michael Kuykendall and his wife Tammy of Orrtanna, PA, Scott Kuykendall of Gettysburg, PA, 13 grandchildren, 19 great grandchildren, a sister, Ramona Master of Petersburg, W. VA.. She was predeceased by a daughter, Bonnie Jacoby, and brothers and sisters; Louise Shockey, William McDonald, Charles McDonald, Mary Zirk and Loretta Hose.
Funeral services will be held Friday, November 22, 2024 at Oak Grove United Methodist Church in Fisher, W. VA. at 2:00 PM with Rev. Michael Funkhouser officiating. A visitation will be held at the church the same day beginning at 1PM. Interment will be in Hutter-Woerner Family Cemetery. There will be a viewing on Wednesday, November 20, 2024 from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Monahan Funeral Home in Gettysburg, PA.
