Obituary for Beatrice T. McDonald
Beatrice T. McDonald, 94, formerly of Dover, PA passed away on Tuesday, November 6, 2018 at the home of her daughter in Eldersburg, Maryland.
Born August 1, 1924 on a farm near Livermore, PA she was the daughter of the late Frank & Helen (Podolan) Tirdel. Mrs. McDonald was predeceased by her husband of 64 years, Harold McDonald who died in 2011.
She had worked for many years as a Market Research Manager for Control Data in Laurel, MD and in her retirement years enjoyed working in Gettysburg, PA for the Hall of Presidents and the Jennie Wade House. Mrs. McDonald was an excellent cook, loved the Arts, tended to her garden and liked working on her computer.
She is survived by her daughter, Charlene Salony of Eldersburg, MD, her son, Richard McDonald of Plymouth, Mass., four grandchildren; Jason Salony of Eldersburg, John Salony and wife Julie of Huntersville, NC, Lydia Robertson of Brooklyn, NY and Denene Ortiz of Bessemer City, NC, seven great grandchildren; Kai Salony, Jack Salony, Owen Salony, Charlotte Jeurgens, Emma Ray, Caitlyn Ray and Maddy Ray, a sister, Audrey Holtz of Jekyil Island, GA and numerous nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a sister Rosella Mae Shaeffer.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, November 10, 2018 at the Monahan Funeral Home in Gettysburg, PA. Interment will be in the Evergreen Cemetery, Gettysburg.
