
Obituary for Bernard Beckman
Bernard Beckman, 87, of Fairfield, PA died Saturday morning, July 7, 2018 at the Rose City Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Lancaster, PA.
Born February 10, 1931 in Brooklyn, NY he was the son of the late Abraham and Anna (Silberman) Beckman. He was the husband of Joyce A. (Semler) Beckman of Fairfield to whom he was married to for 23 years.
Mr. Beckman graduated from Erasmus High School in Brooklyn, NY and attended City College of NY. He was a Veteran of the United States Army serving during the Korean War. He was a manager of district sales in five states for Great Western Winery, NY, Charles Krug & CK Mondavi Winery in California, and retired from the former Churchill Distributors, in Baltimore, MD. He was a reenactor for many years with Battery M 2nd US Artillery and was also involved in the Boy Scouts.
In addition to his wife, Bernard is survived by his daughter, Gail Beckman Wingate and husband David of Frederick, MD, two step-children, Stephen Camp and wife Kim of Glen Burnie, MD, Tracy Camp Dudeck and fiancé Robert of White Hall, MD, and three grandchildren, Zachary, Hannah and Abigail. He was preceded in death by a brother, Nathan Beckman and a sister, Silvia Baker.
Funeral services will be held at noon on Wednesday, July 11, 2018 at the Monahan Funeral Home, 27 E. Main St., Fairfield, PA. Burial will be in the Rest Haven Cemetery, Frederick, MD.
