Obituary for Bettye Ann Cross

Bettye Ann Graham Cross, 71 of Littlestown, PA, formerly of Gettysburg, PA, was born November 2, 1946 in Tavares, Florida to the late Josephus Graham and Willie Mae Graham Hatcher. Bettye entered into eternal rest on Thursday, September 6, 2018 at the York Hospital.

She attended Bates Avenue High School in Eustis, Florida where she was an honor student. Her teacher called upon Bettye to assist in helping other students, which she really enjoyed.

Bettye was a loving person full of fun and laughter. She enjoyed reading, gardening, cooking, sewing, playing games and crossword puzzles. In her younger days she played the clarinet and was also interested in being a majorette.

Bettye leaves to cherish her memory; three daughters, April Denise Cross, Diandra Marie Riggins (Shane), and Ana Alicia Lopez, two grandchildren, Jillian Marie Riggins and Jaycen Pascual Riggins, all of Littlestown, PA, four brothers, Samuel Graham, Kelley Graham, Walter Graham, and David Graham (Lily) all of York, PA, sister-in-law Barbara Graham and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by two sisters Eloise and Bonnie Graham, brother Joe Nathan Graham, step-father Sonny Hatcher, sister-in-law Megan Graham, and a companion for many years, Pascual Lopez. Bettye will truly be missed by all her family and friends.

A Memorial service will be held Saturday September 29, 2018 at St. Paul AME Zion Church, 269 South Washington Street, Gettysburg with Rev. Michael A. Stanley officiating. Family will receive friends at the church on Saturday, September 29th from 10:00 AM until the time of the service. Following the service a repass will be held at the Gettysburg American Legion, 528 East Middle Street, Gettysburg, PA.
