Obituary for Bonnie A. Holland
Bonnie A. Holland, 90, of McKnightstown, PA died Monday morning, June 26, 2017 at her home.
Born April 18, 1927 in Ashe County, North Carolina she was the daughter of the late Lonnie and Myra Wyatt. She was the wife of the late Paul E. Holland who died in 1996.
Mrs. Holland was a member of St. John United Church of Christ in McKnightstown. She worked various places including Foth Furniture Factory, Dolly Madison Furniture Company, Kennie Shoe Factory, and later for the Gettysburg Area School District in the cafeteria. She was a member of the Cashtown Fire Company Auxiliary, the Cashtown Seniors, and the Adams County Republican Women’s Club. She enjoyed cooking and spending time with her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Bonnie is survived by her three children, Riva A. Hopkins, and her husband Tom, of Jacksonville, AR, Larry Holland and his wife Kay, of Gettysburg, PA, Margaret Wetzel and her husband Ken of McKnightstown, PA, eight grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren, and three great great grandchildren.
A graveside service will be held 11:00 AM, Thursday, June 29, 2017 at the McKnightstown Cemetery, Old Route 30, McKnightstown, PA with Rev. Christina Fidanza officiating. The Monahan Funeral Home is in charge of the funeral arrangements and online condolences may be made at monahanfuneralhome.com.
