Obituary for Bonnie Jean Roth
Bonnie Jean Roth, 72 of Biglerville, PA passed away on Friday, October 14 at her home surrounded by her beloved family.
Born January 6, 1944 in Gettysburg, PA she was the daughter of the late Glenn A. “Chook” & Mary R. (Martz) Bream.
Bonnie was a lifelong member of Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church in Arendtsville, PA where she was active with the outreach in service program and was a former member of the Altar Guild. She served as a volunteer with the Girls Scouts for many years and volunteered at the Gettysburg Soup Kitchen. Bonnie had worked at Gettysburg College for 27 years and later drove school children for Jacoby Transportation for 5 years. Bonnie’s life was her family and the time spent with her husband, children and grandchildren. She will be dearly missed.
Bonnie is survived by her husband of 57 years, George J. Roth, Sr., children; Tracy J. Rang and husband Dan of McSherrystown, PA, George J. Roth, Jr. of Dallastown, PA, Ronald J. Roth and wife Mindi of Arendtsville, Debra J. Todt of New Oxford, PA, Barry J. Roth and wife Gina of Littlestown, PA and Susan Swartz of Gettysburg, PA, ten grandchildren, six great grandchildren, a brother, Robert Bream and wife Sherri-Le of Westminster, MD, a sister, Vicki Sterrett and husband Craig of Alpharetta, GA and her beloved dog Sophie.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, October 18, 2016 at Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church, 38 West High St. Arendtsville, PA 17303 with her Pastor, Rev. Ben Seibert, officiating. Interment will be in Greenmount Cemetery. A viewing will be held on Tuesday at the church from 9-11 a.m. The family suggests memorials to Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church.
