
Obituary for Boyd W. Bream
Boyd W. Bream, age 86 of Gettysburg, PA passed away on Sunday, January 28, 2018 at the Gettysburg Center after a long illness.
He was born in Gettysburg on August 01, 1931, son of the late Forrest & Effie (Arnsberger) Bream.
Boyd was a veteran of the U.S. Army serving with the 82nd Airborne “Screaming Eagles” during the Korean War. Boyd was a member of Memorial Baptist Church and enjoyed helping people in need and less fortunate than most. He was a painter by trade having worked many years with Ralph Singley and later with Cy Dietz in the Gettysburg Area.
Boyd is survived by his wife, Barbara (Freed) Bream, a daughter, Sharon Bream of Gettysburg and a sister, Janet Coddington of Hanover, PA. He was predeceased by a son, David Bream and five siblings: George Bream, Stanley Bream, Mae Olinger, Ina Black and Kenneth Bream.
Boyd’s request was to donate his body for research to the Pennsylvania Humanity Gifts Registry. A Memorial Service will be held at the First Baptist Church, 1015 Chambersburg Road, Gettysburg, PA on Saturday, February 17, 2018 from 1-3 p.m. The Monahan Funeral Home in Gettysburg is assisting the family with the arrangements.
