Obituary for Bryson W. King

Bryson W. King, 36 of Littlestown, PA passed away suddenly of natural causes on Wednesday, November 1, 2023 at his home.

Born November 19, 1986 at the Gettysburg Hospital, he was the son of Gregory S. & Christy (Strausbaugh) King of Biglerville, PA. He was a 2005 graduate of Biglerville High School and attended Shippensburg University. Bryson’s love for cooking landed him a job at the Adams County Adult Correctional Center as a cook. He treated the inmates with respect and not like they were all bad people. After leaving there he worked at Wendy’s in Gettysburg for 12 years where he currently was the restaurant’s manager. His night crew drove him crazy, but he loved them and his job. Bryson had a passion for politics and was openly opinionated and would let you know it. He loved all kinds of music, playing video games, but most of all loved his family.

Bryson is preceded in death by his maternal Grandfather William (Bill) Strausbaugh and paternal Grandfather John King as well as his Aunt Regina and Uncle Steve Keefer, Aunt Billie Strasbaugh and his cousins Ranee Blosser and Kenny Thomas.

In addition to his parents, Bryson is survived by two daughters, Bryleigh and Harper King, his longtime partner, Kayla Little, three brothers, Jordan King (Ashley) of Florida, Chandler King (Joelle) of Biglerville, PA and Alexander King (Alexandria) of Arendtsville, PA, a sister, Hannah King (Isma’el) of Pittsburgh, PA, maternal grandmother, Mary Strausbaugh of Littlestown and Fay King of Gettysburg, PA, and three nephews and eight nieces.

Funeral Services will be held at 11am on Thursday, November 9, 2023 at the Great Conewago Presbyterian Church, 174 Red Bridge Road, Gettysburg, PA with Rev. Brand Eaton, officiating. A viewing will precede the service at the church beginning at 10am. Interment will be private. A Viewing will be held at the Monahan Funeral Home in Gettysburg on Wednesday, November 8, 2023 from 6:00-8:00 PM. Online tributes and condolences can be made at monahanfuneralhome.com.
