Obituary for Charles Edward Wilson
Charles Edward Wilson, 89, Fairfield, PA passed away on Friday, January 19, 2018 at Transitions Healthcare in Gettysburg, PA.
He was born June 28, 1928 in Bryan, TX the son of the late William Moore and Mina Bell Terry Wilson. Mr. Wilson is survived by his wife Mary Jane Shindledecker Wilson.
Charles, or as he was known “The Texan” was a veteran of the US Navy serving during the Korean Conflict. For many years he was employed for GAF as a welder. He was a member of the Fairfield AmVETS. He enjoyed collecting model trains.
In addition to his wife Charles is survived by two brothers; Herb Wilson and Percy Wilson and a sister Francis Barnhill all of Texas.
A Memorial service will be held Tuesday, January 23, 2018 at 11:00 AM from Monahan Funeral Home in Fairfield, PA. Interment will be in Fairfield Union Cemetery.
