Charles V. “Grizz” Grimm, Jr. 64 of Gettysburg, PA passed away at his home on Saturday, December 16, 2017.
Born in York, PA on June 15, 1953, he was the son of the late Charles V. & Wanda M. (Iser) Grimm.
Grizz was a veteran of the U.S. Army serving from 1975-1977. He attended Liberty Worship Center in Fairfield, PA. Grizz was an independent truck driver and enjoyed working on and building muscle cars. Most of all he enjoyed time with his family and playing with his grandchildren.
Survivors include his wife, Debra Kay (Rippeon) “Debbie” Grimm, eight children; Mary Flanagan of Frederick, MD, Claire Parrow of Nevada, Joey Parrow of Colorado Springs, CO, Charles V. “Bubba” Grimm, III of Gettysburg, Sara Hilbolt of Harrisburg, PA, Katie Grimm of Gettysburg, Mikel Grimm of Bendersville, PA and Noah Grimm of Thurmont, MD, three step-sons; Josh Hawse of Emmitsburg, MD, Robert “Joe” Hinkhaus of Clearville, PA and Justin Hinkhaus of Gettysburg and twenty one grandchildren.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, December 30, 2017 at Liberty Worship Center, 29 Carroll’s Tract Road, Fairfield, PA with Pastors Tim Pickett and Jeff Walters, officiating. The family will receive friends at a luncheon at the church following the Celebration of Life on December 30. Online tributes and condolences can be made at monahanfuneralhome.com. The family suggests memorials to Liberty Worship Center in Fairfield in lieu of flowers. The Monahan Funeral Home in Gettysburg is assisting the family with the arrangements.
