Obituary for Christopher Alan Haubert
Christopher Alan Haubert, 58, Fairfield, PA died Thursday, October 12, 2017 at his home.
He was born September 22, 1959 in Mechanicsburg, PA the son of the late Carl F. and Marian Byrem Haubert. Christopher was survived by his wife Insu Cho Haubert.
Mr. Haubert was a veteran of the U.S. Army. Following his service he was employed for the Department of Defense for the next 33 years, traveling the world as a telecommunications specialist retiring in 2012. During his career he was stationed in Korea for 5 years where he met his wife. Christopher was an accomplished darts player. He enjoyed hunting and spending time with his family, he was also an avid Pittsburgh Steeler’s fan.
In addition to his wife, Mr. Haubert is survived by a son, Timothy Haubert and his wife Shealynn of North Carolina, a daughter, Amanda Escobar and her husband Tony of Maryland, four grandchildren; Keven Haubert, Sean Haubert, Lyla Haubert, Raul Christopher Escobar, a brother, Carl F. “Frank” Haubert, Jr. of Pennsylvania, three sisters; Marian Lefevre of Pennsylvania, Dorothy Helmick of Pennsylvania, and Amy Ewbank of Pennsylvania.
A viewing will take place Saturday, October 14, 2017 at the Monahan Funeral Home in Gettysburg from 4:00 PM until 6:00 PM, followed by a Prayer Service. Interment will be private.
