
Obituary for Clarence O. Griffie
Clarence O. Griffie, 82, 65 Benders Church Road, Biglerville, PA died Sunday, December 18, 2016 at Golden Living Center, Gettysburg, PA.
He was born June 2, 1934 in Gardners, PA the son of the late Oliver and Media Gardner Griffie. Clarence is survived by his wife of 61 years, Lois Slaybaugh Griffie, a daughter, Lucinda Swiger and her husband Bruce of Biglerville, PA, two grandchildren; Erica Swiger, Quaid Swiger and a sister, Stella Richwine. He was predeceased by a son, Quentin Griffie, and seven brothers; William Griffie, Melvin Griffie, Ralph Griffie, Lloyd Griffie, Marlin Griffie, Russell Griffie, Donald Griffie.
Mr. Griffie was a veteran of the US Army. He was a Milk Truck delivery driver for a few years but for the last 45 years he drove trucks for Knouse Foods until his retirement. He enjoyed football, baseball, NASCAR and his dog.
Funeral services will be held Friday, December 23, 2016 at 2:00 PM from Monahan
Funeral Home in Gettysburg, PA. Interment will be in Bendersville Cemetery. There will be a viewing at the funeral home on Friday from 12:30 PM until the time of the service.
