
Obituary for Clyde "Butch" Monn III
Clyde L. “Butch” Monn, III, 69, 4540 Oxford Road, York Springs, PA died suddenly Friday, July 14, 2017 at the Gettysburg Hospital.
He was born March 1, 1948 in Gettysburg, PA the son of the late Clyde L. and Mary Ellen Fissel Monn. Butch is survived by his wife Marcella Altice Monn.
Butch was employed for 36 years at R. H. Shepherd in Hanover, PA until his retirement. He enjoyed coin collecting, and cap guns and playing his guitar. For many years he raised chickens on his property in York Springs. He was a veteran of the US Army.
In addition to his wife Mr. Monn is survived by four children; Susan Morris of York Springs, PA, Eddie Monn and his wife Brenda of Dillsburg, PA, Michael Monn of York Springs, PA, Douglas Monn of York Springs, PA, five grandchildren; Nicole Morris, Kayla Metzger and her husband Allen, Todd Morris, II, Angela Eaton, Alyssa Monn, five great grandchildren; Autumn Boldosser, London Metzger, Allen Metzger, Jr., Alexander Potent, Alexandria Myers, ten brothers and sisters; Sharon Kump of Gettysburg, PA, David Monn and his wife Donna of Gettysburg, PA, Larry Monn and his wife Pam of Gettysburg, PA, Carol Balderas and her husband Santos of Gettysburg, PA, Marianne Hankey and her husband Gerald of York Springs, PA, Robert E. Monn of York Springs, PA, Jeffrey S. Monn and his wife Cathy of East Berlin, PA, Barbara Christopher and her husband Todd of New Oxford, PA, Lori Cooper of York Springs, PA, Karen Johnson of York Springs, PA. He was predeceased by a brother, Joseph H. Monn.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, July 20, 2017 at 11:00 AM from Monahan Funeral Home, Gettysburg, PA. Interment will be in Oak Lawn Memorial Gardens, Gettysburg, PA. There will be a viewing at the funeral home on Wednesday evening, July 19, 2017 from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM.
