Obituary for Coleen I. France
Coleen I. Martin France, 58 of Gettysburg, PA passed away on Monday, June 11, 2018 at her home with her family and dear friends by her side.
Born August 21, 1959 in Rockville, Maryland, she was the daughter of the late Francis E. & Pola Marie (Obloy) Schuster. Coleen owned and operated the Copper Cabin Kennel in Gettysburg for 20 years. It was her passion to provide quality care for her beloved animals at the kennel, and per her wishes, the family will maintain operating the kennel in the same manner as Coleen had for 20 years. She attended GBC Church in Gettysburg.
Coleen is survived by her son, Casey A. Martin and wife Amanda of Gettysburg, her precious granddaughter, Cassidy, who she loved as big as the state of Texas, step-son, Colton France of Annapolis, MD, two sisters; Renee Davis of Grand Junction, CO and Pam Schroyer of Taneytown, MD, many nieces and nephews, her former husbands; David W. Martin of Fredonia, PA and Clay France of Littlestown, PA and her beloved family of friends and pets at the Copper Cabin Kennel. Coleen was predeceased by a son, Jesse W. Martin, who died in 1997.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, June 16, 2018 at the GBC Church, 95 Fairview Road, Gettysburg, PA with Pastor Bill Mummert, officiating. Interment will follow the service in the Garber Mennonite Church Cemetery, 6082 Old Hanover Rd., Springs Grove, PA (Menges Mills). The family will receive friends on Saturday at the church from noon-2:00 p.m. Per Coleen's request please dress casual, blue jeans would be appropriate. The family suggests memorials to GBC Church or Best Friends Animal Society, 5001 Angel Canyon Road, Kanab, Utah 84741.
