Obituary for Daniel McMillen

Daniel McMillen, of Glenville, lost his lengthy batttle with cancer on November 6, 2023 at the age of 62. He was the beloved husband of Waynetta McMillen; together they shared 37 years of marriage; the loving father of Randy Houck and his wife Kaila, Miranda Kunkle and husband Josh, Heather Farace and husband Nick, and Daniel McMillen II and wife Kaytelyn; the cherished grandfather of Kane, Savannah, Carter, Kamrin, Keegan, Chase, Titan, Maximus, Presley, Lyanna, Arya, Adalynn, Daniel III, and great granddaughter, Delilah.


He is preceded in death by parents, Manny and Mary McMillen and grandson Camden Houck. In addition to his wife, children, and grandchildren, he is survived by Frank and Barbara Fels, his brother, Butch McMillen and sister, Donna Tafuri.


Dan was born on August 22nd, 1961 in Johnstown, PA. After graduating high school from Altoona High School in 1979, he went on to obtain his Bachelors degree in Engineering from Penn State University. He worked as an electrical engineer for Northrop Grumman for over 40 years.


Dan is fondly remembered as a hard working man who lived for his family. You couldn't find a more loyal man. He enjoyed gardening, smoking meat, fishing, watching the Steelers, and swimming. He loved spending time with his wife, who he lovingly referred to as his "beautiful bride," kids, and grandkids. He was a great friend to all who met him.


Following cremation, relatives and friends are invited to a celebration of life on Monday, November 13th at 11:00am at Intersection Church; 1980 Baltimore Pike in Gettysburg, PA.
