Obituary for David J. Scott
David J. Scott, 64, 3335 Biglerville Road, Biglerville, PA died Monday, December 11, 2017 at the York Hospital.
He was born May 23, 1953 in Gettysburg, PA the son of the late Daniel J. and Janet Kump Scott.
David was a member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Biglerville, PA. He attended Gettysburg High School. For over 40 years he owned and operated David Scott Upholstering in Biglerville. He was a member of the Biglerville American Legion. Dave enjoyed the outdoors, cars and traveling especially to Florida. But most importantly he loved his family and spending time with them.
David is survived by his wife, Donna Boyer Scott, two daughters; Rebecca J. Boyle and her husband Daniel of Dillsburg, PA, Jessica Scott Metz and her husband Jeremy of Mechanicsburg, PA, three grandchildren; Brayden Metz, Brock Metz, Taylor Boyle, two brothers; Daniel Lee Scott and his wife Shirley of Gettysburg, PA, Donald Scott and his wife Barbara of Gettysburg, PA and a sister, Linda Shupe and her husband Ray of Gettysburg, PA.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, December 16, 2017 at noon from St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Biglerville, PA with Rev. Timothy Seitz-Brown officiating. There will be a viewing at the church on Saturday from 10:00 AM until the time of the service. In lieu of flowers memorials can be made to the American Heart Association, 1019 Mumma Road, Wormleysburg, PA 17043.
