Doris L. (Coshun) Coffelt, 84, formerly of Fairfield, PA died Thursday morning, July 14, 2016 at Transitions Healthcare, Gettysburg, PA.
Born August 19, 1931 in Gettysburg she was the daughter of the late George and Frances Mae (Dick) Coshun. She was the wife of the late Charles T. Coffelt who died in 2008.
Mrs. Coffelt was a member of St. John Lutheran Church in Fairfield. She was a 1949 graduate of Gettysburg Area High School. She worked various places throughout her life including Gettysburg College, Knouse Foods, Gettysburg and Fairfield Shoe Companies, Herf Jones, and the Gettysburg Lutheran Home.
Doris is survived by her two children, Donald E. Coffelt and his wife Audrey, of Amberson, PA, Karen A. Rudisill and her husband James, of Gettysburg, PA, two grandchildren, Kristia Rudisill, of Biglerville, PA, Justin Rudisill and his wife Emily, of Gettysburg, PA, great granddaughter, Zoe Rudisill, five siblings, Ethel Sadler, of Mechanicsburg, PA, Alice Hoffman, of Gettysburg, PA, David Coshun, of Gettysburg, PA, John Coshun, of Fairfield, PA, Rebecca Miller, of Littlestown, PA, as well as a number of nieces, nephews, and great nieces and nephews.
Services being handled by the Monahan Funeral Home will be private and at the convenience of the family and online condolences may be made at monahanfuneralhome.com.
