Doris M. Frock, 91, Gettysburg, PA passed away on Friday, August 30, 2024 at her home surrounded by her family.
She was born March 20, 1933 in Gettysburg, PA the daughter of the late Cyrus and Ruth White Deckert. Her husband, John Martin Frock died in 2007.
Doris was an active member of St. John’s UCC in McKnightstown, PA where she volunteered for many activities. She was a graduate of Gettysburg High School. In the start of her career she was employed at the local phone company and later at Bigham Real Estate. She then raised her daughter and returned to work at ACNB Bank in the Trust Department, where she worked until her retirement. In addition to her church volunteering she was active in the Heidlersburg Fire Company Auxiliary and the Cashtown Ladies Auxiliary.
Mrs Frock is survived by a daughter, Jennifer Joseph and her husband, Jeff of Rehoboth Beach, DE, two grandchildren; Kyle Joseph and Karalyn Joseph, two brothers; Richard Deckert and his wife Sandra of Gettysburg, PA, James Deckert of Gettysburg and a sister, Joan Swisher and her husband David of Gettysburg, PA and many nieces, nephews and family members. She was predeceased by a sister, Janet L. Hertz.
Funeral services will be held Friday, September 6, 2024 at 1:00 PM at Monahan Funeral Home in Gettysburg, PA. Interment will be in McKnightstown Cemetery. There will be a viewing at the funeral home on Thursday, September 5, 2024 from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM.
