Obituary for Dorothy M. Garrett
Dorothy M. (Hahn) Garrett, 90, of Hanover, PA died Thursday morning, August 2, 2018 at her home surrounded by her loving family.
Born July 14, 1928 in Hanover, PA she was the daughter of the late Robert L. and Beulah (Orendorff) Hahn. She was the wife of the late Mark “Buck” Garrett, Jr. who died December 7, 2009.
Dot was a 1946 graduate of Delone Catholic High School and a member of St. David’s UCC in Hanover. She enjoyed spending time with her family at the cabin in “the mountains.”
She was a loving mother to her two children, Daniel Garrett and his wife Harriet, of St. Regis Falls, NY, Margaret Garrett, of Hanover, PA, a proud mammaw to her nine grandchildren, Scott, Kelly, Jeff, Jody, Kevin, Angie, Steve, Sam, Mark, seven great grandchildren, six step-great grandchildren, and a number of nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Barbara Neiderer, her son, Mark “Andy” Garrett, her sister, Betty Kopp, and her two brothers, Bernard Hahn and Robert Hahn.
Funeral services being handled by the Monahan Funeral Home will be private and at the convenience of the family. Online condolences may be made at monahanfuneralhome.com.
