Obituary for Edward G. Sanders
Edward Guy Sanders, age 75 of Gettysburg, PA died Tuesday, March 15, 2016 at his home. Born November 20, 1940 in Adams County, PA he was the son of the late Guy Martin & Beulah (Adams) Sanders. Mr. Sanders was a veteran of the Vietnam War serving with the United States Marine Corps. He was a truck driver for a local garment company in Gettysburg for many years and had farmed in the Straban Township area of Adams County for most of his life. Mr. Sanders is survived by his three children; a son Scott E. Sanders of McSherrystown, PA and two daughters: Shelly Sanders of York and Kelly Martz of Hanover, PA, five grandchildren and three great grandchildren, three sisters; Ann Moore and Bonnie Ohler both of Fairfield, PA, Joyce Space of Camp Hill, PA, and seven brothers; Gary Sanders, Robert Sanders and Daniel Sanders all of Fairfield, William Sanders of Biglerville, PA, Rikki Sanders of Chambersburg, PA, Dale Sanders of Emmitsburg, MD and Jay Sanders of Cascade, MD, his aunt Martha L. Adams of New Oxford, PA and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a brother, Duane Sanders. Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 AM on Saturday, March 19, 2016 at the Monahan Funeral Home in Gettysburg. Burial will be in the Fairfield Union Cemetery.
