Obituary for Eileen L. Harvey
Eileen L. Harvey, 69, of Gettysburg, PA died Tuesday, August 16, 2016 at the York Hospital.
Born August 1, 1947 in Baltimore, MD she was the daughter of the late Christian and Emma “Gertrude” (Rosenberger) Laupus.
Eileen was a member of Grace United Church of Christ in Hanover, PA. She worked for 30 years at the ACNB Bank, holding various positions during her career, including branch manager. She was a loving mother and grandmother and a devoted friend.
Eileen is survived by her two children, Ruth Travis and her husband Matt, of New Market, MD, Matthew Harvey and his wife Dawn, of Gettysburg, PA, her four grandchildren, Peyton Travis, Soraya Travis, Victoria Harvey, Jayden Harvey, her brother, William Laupus, of Texas, her three sisters, Mary Flaggs, Muriel Kraus, Karen Coleman, all of Maryland, and many beloved of nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her sister, Pat Batchelor.
Funeral services will be held 11:00 AM, Saturday, August 20, 2016 at the Monahan Funeral Home, 125 Carlisle St., Gettysburg, PA with her pastor the Rev. Dorothy Thormaehlen officiating. Burial will be in the Evergreen Cemetery, Gettysburg. The family will receive friends from 6-8 PM, Friday evening, August 19, 2016 at the funeral home, as well as from 10:00 until the time of the service Saturday morning.
