
Obituary for Elaine L. Coleman
Elaine L. Coleman, 61, Gardners, PA died Sunday, June 23, 2019 surrounded by her family following a brief battle with cancer.
She was born March 9, 1958 in Gettysburg, PA the daughter of the late Clarence and Minnie Weaver Turner. Elaine is survived by her husband, Larry David Coleman.
Elaine was an active member of Memorial Baptist Church in Gettysburg. She was a 1976 graduate of Biglerville High School. Elaine was a part-time employee at Wendy’s and a part-time custodian at Memorial Baptist Church. She and her family were Hot Air Balloon enthusiasts who have crewed for several operators. Elaine enjoyed reading, putting together jigsaw puzzles traveling, and spending time with her family.
In addition to her husband, Elaine is survived by a son, Jonathan Ryan Coleman, a daughter, Sarah Nicole Coleman both at home, a brother, Roger Turner and his wife Mary Kay of Gettysburg, PA. She was predeceased by a sister, Ann Orndorff.
Funeral services will be held Friday, June 28, 2019 at 11:00 AM at Memorial Baptist Church with Rev. Adam Hedge officiating. Interment will be in Greenmount Cemetery, Arendtsville, PA. There will be a viewing on Thursday, June 27, 2019 at Monahan Funeral Home in Gettysburg, PA from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM and Friday, June 28, 2019 from 10:00 AM until the time of the service at Memorial Baptist Church.
