Obituary for Eleanora M. Donnelly
Eleanora M. Donnelly, 81, of Gettysburg, PA died suddenly, Wednesday, January 23, 2019 at her home.
Born December 21, 1937 in Manhattan, NY she was the daughter of the late Wilhelm and Elisabet (Kennel) Lederhilger.
Mrs. Donnelly was a member of St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church. She worked as a waitress at various restaurants throughout her life, including, Dunlap’s Family Restaurant, Friendly’s, and Perkins, in the Gettysburg area.
Eleanora is survived by her four children, Jamie Donnelly and his wife Eileen, of New Oxford, PA, Francine Mahoney and her husband William, of the Bronx, NY, Kathleen Donnelly, of Florida, Alan Donnelly, of the Bronx, NY, five grandchildren, Bridget, Ian, Lynn Marie, Donna Marie, Lauren, and two great grandchildren, Drew and Gabriel. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother Robert Lederhilger.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held 11:00 AM, Wednesday, January 30, 2019, at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church, 25 West High St., Gettysburg, PA. The family will receive friends from 6-8 PM, Tuesday evening, January 29, 2019 at the Monahan Funeral Home, 125 Carlisle St., Gettysburg, PA. Online condolences may be made at monahanfuneralhome.com.
