Obituary for Eric Michael Zimmer
Eric Michael Zimmer, age 58, died of cancer on November 10, 2016. Eric passed away peacefully at the Dove House in Westminster, Maryland.
Eric is survived by his parents, Edward P. and Rosemarie Zimmer of Fayetteville, PA; his brothers; Art of Fayetteville, PA and Thom of Westminster, MD; and longtime companion Kathy Messinger of Waynesboro, PA.
Eric was born on July 4, 1958 in Johnstown, PA, to his parents Ed and Rosemarie Zimmer. He graduated from Dundalk Senior High School in Maryland.
Eric was a social, active man who was deeply involved in golf for the majority of his life. His family and friends will always remember him as a happy, fun loving person.
A graveside memorial service will be held, Tuesday, November 22, 2016 at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Cemetery, West High Street, Gettysburg, PA at 11:00 AM. All are welcome to attend. In lieu of flowers memorials can be made to Dove House, 292 Stoner Avenue, Westminster, MD 21157.
