Obituary for Esther A. Moritz
Esther A. (Yingling) Moritz, 79, of Orrtanna, PA died Thursday evening, February 11, 2016 at St. Catherine’s Nursing Home, Emmitsburg, MD.
Born January 31, 1937 in Littlestown, PA she was the daughter of the late Edgar and Zelda (Walter) Yingling. She was the wife of the late Earl Moritz, Jr. who died in April of 2003.
Mrs. Moritz was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Fairfield, PA. She worked at Knouse Foods and then for El Vista Orchards.
Esther is survived by her two children, Steven Moritz and his wife Cindy, of Orrtanna, PA, Tammy Wivell, of Emmitsburg, MD, eight grandchildren, Steven Moritz, Jr. and his wife Mandi, Daniel Moritz and his wife Ceresa, Kevin Moritz and his wife Maryanne, Amy Moritz, Sarah Bryson and her husband Mike, Adam Wivell and his wife Jayme, Evan Wivell, Allison Andrews and her husband Ryan, eight great grandchildren, Jhonathan Balek, Colton Moritz, Korie Moritz, Heath Moritz, Lexi Bryson, Abby Bryson, Chloe Bryson, Jackson Wivell, and two brothers, Raymond Yingling, of Littlestown, PA and Sydney Yingling, of Gettysburg, PA. She was preceded in death by her son-in-law, Jeff Wivell, and five siblings, Charles Yingling, Zelda Mundorff, Frances Reed, Robert Yingling, and Blaine Yingling.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held 11:00 AM, Wednesday, February 17, 2016 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, 256 Tract Rd., Fairfield, PA. The family will receive friends from 6-8 PM, Tuesday, February 16, 2016 at the Monahan Funeral Home, 27 E. Main St., Fairfield, PA, as well as an hour before the Mass Wednesday at the church.
