Obituary for Florence C. Baker
Florence C. Baker, 86, of Fairfield, PA died Friday evening, January 18, 2019 at St. Joseph Ministries, Emmitsburg, MD. She spent her last days in the company of loving friends and family.
Born August 1, 1932 in Adams County, PA, she was the daughter of the late Albert C. and Florence M. (Spindle) Kane, she was the wife of Robert W. Baker, Sr., of Fairfield, PA to whom she was married to for 58 years.
Mrs. Baker worked as a telephone operator and then retired from the Littlestown Foundry where she worked for over 25 years.
In addition to her husband, Florence is survived by her son, Robert W. Baker, Jr. and his wife Cathy, of Derwood, MD, her granddaughter, Cayla Baker, and her five siblings, Deloris Cooper, Shirley McKenzie, Nellie Heller, Ellen Doll, and Mike Kane. She was preceded in death by six siblings, Albert Kane, Mary Grace Williams, Vivian Walters, Betty Garner, James Henry Kane, and Rosalie Kane.
A memorial service will be held 11:00 AM, Saturday, March 9, 2019 at the Monahan Funeral Home, 27 East Main St., Fairfield, PA.
