Fred J. Martin, 75 of Gettysburg, PA died Monday, March 13, 2017 at the Gettysburg Hospital.
Born November 28, 1941 in Gettysburg, PA he was the son of the late Franz & Mabel (Good) Martin.
Fred had been employed for 35 years with the Dal-Tile Corp. in Gettysburg before his retirement. He enjoyed his hunting camp in Potter County and was an avid hunter.
He is survived by his wife of 35 years, Aleta A. (Fields) Martin, his son, Charles Reider of Gettysburg, PA, his daughter, Michelle Sprenkle and husband Mike of Parkville, Maryland, two granddaughters; Ashley Robinson and Alexandra Reider, a great granddaughter, Zoey Newlin, four sisters; Patsy Redding and husband Mike of Biglerville, PA, Joyce Speelman and husband Vernon of Gettysburg, Shirley Kleinfelter and husband Leroy of Gettysburg and Barb Deardorff and husband Marlin of Orrtanna, PA, five brothers; Ken Martin and wife Samantha of Gettysburg, Leroy Martin and wife Joann of Biglerville, Wilbur Martin and wife Delores of Gettysburg, Leonard Martin of Gettysburg and Donald Martin and wife Barb of Gettysburg and a number of nieces and nephews. Fred was predeceased by two brothers; Charlie and Phil Martin.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, March 18, 2017 at the Monahan Funeral Home in Gettysburg with Fr. Daniel Mitzel, officiating. Interment will be in the Evergreen Cemetery, Gettysburg.
