Obituary for Gary K. Grove
Gary K. Grove, 60, of Orrtanna, PA died Wednesday evening, August 8, 2018 at his home, in his wife’s arms.
Born October 17, 1957 in Chambersburg, PA he was the son of Frances M. (McElwain) Grove, of Chambersburg, PA and the late Robert J. Grove. He is survived by his wife Cindi (Dillon) Grove, of Orrtanna, PA to whom he was married for 32 years.
Gary retired as manager from Chambersburg Beverage, Chambersburg, PA in 2015 after 34 years of service. Most recently he was a day truck driver at U.S. Xpress, Shippensburg, PA, earning Driver of the Month Award in May 2018. Gary enjoyed time spent with his family and friends. He cherished every moment he spent with his grandsons. His down time was spent crabbing at the bay and tinkering around the farm.
In addition to his wife and mother Gary is survived by his three children, Joshua Bumbaugh, of Greencastle, PA, Lindi Reifsnider, of Orrtanna, PA, Aaron Grove, of Hershey, PA, two grandchildren, Jaxon and Kai Reifsnider, two sisters, Nancy Gruen, of Fairfield, PA, Linda Rohlf, of Dublin, CA, his in laws, Linda Spielman, Eugene Dillon, Larry Dillon, David Dillon, Janet Bordwine, and his nieces and nephews. He is also survived by Jacob, the golden retriever he picked out for his wife.
A celebration of life will be held at 1:00 PM, Sunday, August 19, 2018 at his and Cindi’s farm. Online condolences may be made at monahanfuneralhome.com.
