Obituary for Gary L. Dick

Gary L. Dick, 78, of Gettysburg, PA passed away on Saturday, February 10, 2024 at the Wellspan Gettysburg Hospital.

Born May 5, 1945 in Gettysburg, PA to the late Enoch and Catherine (Leatherman) Dick.

Gary graduated from Gettysburg High School in 1963. He was a member of the Buchanon Valley Fish and Game, Adams Co. Fish and Game, American Motorcycle Assoc., National Rifle Assoc., and Biglerville Ambulance Club. He was also a faithful member of the Gettysburg Church of the Brethren on Biglerville Road for many years. He was employed as a gradall operator for H.J. Williams Construction Co., in York from 1965 to 1989. He began working in 1990 as an equipment operator for Robert A. Kinsley Construction in York, until his retirement in 2011. He enjoyed camping, hunting, fishing, riding his Harley, and spending weekends at the “cabin” with family and friends. He was also an animal lover and adopted several stray dogs and cats. Gary also enjoyed listening to music, some of his favorite artists were Jerry Lee Lewis, Fats Domino, and the Beatles. Gary was a loving husband and a devoted father.

Survived by his wife, Linda J. (Sanders) Dick, and his son, Gregory L. Dick.

There will be a viewing held on Thursday, February 15, 2024, at the Gettysburg Church of the Brethren from 9AM-11AM. Immediately following the viewing there will be a private interment and committal service.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Gettysburg Church of the Brethren, 1710 Biglerville Road, Gettysburg, PA 17325.
