Obituary for Gary L. Dillon
Gary L. Dillon, 62, Buford Avenue, Gettysburg, PA died suddenly on December 8, 2018 at his home.
Mr. Dillon was born August 22, 1956 in Gettysburg, PA the son of the late Charles and Eleanora Hykes Dillon.
Gary was a 1975 graduate of Gettysburg High School and attended Penn State University – York Campus. Gary worked at a number of jobs in a wealth of places such as Michaux State Park, Wolfe’s Pub in Gettysburg as a cook, and in the Baltimore/DC area as a mason. For over 20 years he worked at Hanover Direct and most recently for Giant Food Store in Hanover, PA. Gary enjoyed online video games especially “World of Tanks.”
Gary is survived by five children; Kristina Dillon and her husband Tom Hess of Greencastle, PA, Deirdre Horner and her husband Jack of Birdsboro, PA, Moira McClung and her husband Michael of Greencastle, PA, Corwin Dillon and his wife Julie of Arnedtsville, PA, Carly Hart and her husband Jason of Yoe, PA, three grandchildren; Brooks Horner, Georgia Horner, Abigail McClung, a sister, Linda Dillon of Gettysburg, PA, three brothers; Jack Dillon of Gettysburg, PA, Randy Dillon of Biglerville, PA, Jeff Dillon of Hanover, PA. He was predeceased by a brother, Larry Dillon.
