Obituary for Glenn Arthur Zepp
Glenn Arthur Zepp, 79, much loved husband, father and grandfather, passed away on June 30, 2016, after a brief illness. He was born in Straban Township to Herbert E. and Ruth (Stitt) Zepp. He worked with his father on the family dairy farm before serving in the U.S. Navy. He received his B.S., M.S. and Ph.D. degrees from The Pennsylvania State University. He retired in 1998 as a Senior Research Economist from the Economic Research Service, U.S. Department of Agriculture.
Since retirement, he has regularly attended the Great Conewago Presbyterian Church, where he was an active volunteer. He served as president of the Great Conewago Cemetery Board, and served as treasurer of the Hunterstown Ruritan Club. He was also a former member of the Torch Club.
Survivors include his wife of 52 years, Rebecca (Gifford) Zepp, his sister, Martha Jane Zepp, his son, David Zepp (Sabine), two daughters, Barbara Larson (Urban) and Laura Zepp Tomblin (David), and five grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held, Wednesday, July 6, 2016 at 11:00 AM from Great Conewago Presbyterian Church with Rev. Dale Williams officiating. Interment will be in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends following the interment at the church fellowship hall. In lieu of flowers, the family has requested memorial donations be sent to Great Conewago Presbyterian Church, 174 Red Bridge Road, Gettysburg, PA 17325.
