Grace R. Ford, 83, Gettysburg, PA died Wednesday, March 22, 2017 at Gettysburg Center.
She was born November 2, 1933 in Mayville, MI the daughter of the late Charles and Irene McInnes Longeuay.
Mrs. Ford spent most of her life as a homemaker but early in her life she was employed as a switchboard operator for Bell Telephone in Detroit, Michigan and as a secretary for Action Security in Newark, Delaware. Grace also taught ceramic painting, did many forms of needlework and was always interested in the arts. She was also a civil war enthusiast, enjoying reenacting and period music. She loved Scotch and Irish music, her cats, Baltimore Orioles baseball and classic movies.
Grace is survived by a son, Paul Ford and his wife Florence of York Springs, PA, a daughter, Kathy Walls of Newark, DE, a granddaughter, Lacey Lambe of Chapel Hill, NC, two great grandsons; Clyde Wesley Lambe, Hutson Truitt Lambe, and a sister, Sue Lumley of Lapeer, MI.
