Obituary for Ida Jane Alberts
Ida Jane Alberts, 89, formerly of Gettysburg, PA most recently a resident of Fair Haven Assisted Living Center in Hanover, PA died Saturday, July 16, 2016 at SpiriTrust in Gettysburg, PA surrounded by her family.
Mrs. Alberts was born February 6, 1927 in Williamsport, PA the daughter of the late Clyde and Beatrice Hess Musheno. Her husband Francis B. “Bucky” Alberts died in 1990.
Mrs. Alberts was a member of St. James Lutheran Church. For over 20 years she was the Secretary for the Gettysburg Municipal Authority. Ida always enjoyed her pets and spending time in her yard. In her younger days she was an avid Ice Skater and always liked her time spent at the Ice Capades. But most of all she loved spending time with her family.
Ida is survived by three children; Judy K. Pinko and her husband Bill of Gettysburg, PA, Francis B. “Butch” Alberts and his wife Kim of Baldwinsville, NY, Thomas W. Alberts and his wife Barbara of Biglerville, PA, seven grandchildren; Billy Pinko, Todd Pinko, Kyle Alberts, Wesley Alberts, Tim Alberts, Eric Alberts, Laura Scott, six great grandchildren; Brandon Pinko, Brianna Pinko, Bryson Pinko, Baylee Pinko, Aleena Scott, Keegan Scott, a sister, Doris Keller of Williamsport, PA. She was predeceased by two brothers; Clyde Musheno, Jr. and Robert Musheno.
As was Ida’s wishes, funeral services will be private. Interment will be in Evergreen Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorials can be made to SpiriTrust Hospice, 260 West High Street, Gettysburg, PA 17325 or the American Cancer Society, 924 North Colonial Avenue, York, PA 17403.
