Obituary for Irene B. Miller
Irene B Miller, age 97, of Fairfield Pa. died on April 15th, 2017 at the Brethren Home Community.
Born Feb 18 1920 in Belsono Pa. daughter of the late Louis Beckey and Anna (Bornyak) Beckey. She was proceeded in death by her husband Charles R Miller who died in 1998.
Also preceded in death by her brothers Alden, Louis Jr., William, Theodore and Oden Beckey. She was the last surviving child of Louis and Anna Beckey.
She attended Cambria-Rowe Business College in Johnstown. She worked in the office of the Monroe Coal Co, Revloc Pa. After staying home to raise her sons, she then worked with her husband in the company that they owned, SLM Industries, in Fairburn, Ga. Moving to the Gettysburg area to be close to family, they became very active members of the Gettysburg United Methodist church and the Gettysburg community.
She is survived by her two sons, William D. Miller and his wife Judy, of Gettysburg and C. Robert Miller and his wife Deborah, of McAllister MT. Three grandchildren Daniela (Dean) Kroon, Mankato MN., David W. (Kristen) Miller York Pa. and Megan E. Miller, Arlington Va. and two step-grand daughters, Mary Stock (Drew) Keister of Fogelsville, PA and Nicole Reynolds of Littlestown, PA; two great-grandchildren, Jude and Gracie Miller and four step great-grandchildren, Alexis and Mason Reynolds and Rowen and Alina Keister and many loving nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, April 19, 2017 at 10:00 AM from Monahan Funeral Home in Gettysburg. There will be a viewing at the funeral home on Tuesday, April 18, 2017 from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM. A viewing will be held on Thursday, April 20, 2017 from 10-11 a.m. at the Bowser-Ondriezek Funeral Home 1102 Cardiff Road, Nanty-Glo, PA with burial to follow in the Lloyd Cemetery, Ebensburg, PA.
