Obituary for James A. Robinson
James A. Robinson, 65, of Aspers, passed away Thursday morning, Jan. 11, 2018 at the York Hospital.
Born March 8, 1952 in Pittsburgh, he was the son of the late James E. and Carolyn J. (Orr) Robinson. He was the loving husband of Andrea M. (Madonna) Robinson, to whom he was married for 42 years.
In addition to his wife, Jim is survived by his three children: James Robinson and his wife Vickie (Ivy), of Carlisle, Carolyn Dull and her husband Ryan, of East Berlin, David Robinson and his wife Lauren, of Hanover; three grandchildren: Owen and Olivia Dull and Jude Robinson; his sister, Laurie Checkley and her husband Dorn, of Pittsburgh; brother-in-law Anthony Madonna and his wife Mary, of Warrington, and his step-mother, Esther Robinson, of West End, N.C. He is also survived by five nieces, a nephew, a step-sister, and two step-brothers.
Jim was a graduate of Ohio University. He spent many years selling industrial equipment throughout the northeastern United States. Jim loved cooking and sharing meals with family and friends. He also enjoyed bicycling, woodworking, camping, fishing, and renovating his beloved barn. His family meant the world to him and he loved spending time with his grandchildren. He was rarely without his loyal golden retriever, Maggie. He was deeply loved and will be greatly missed.
