Obituary for James D. Kilmer
James D. Kilmer, 43, 110 West Middle Street, Gettysburg, PA died Wednesday, March 2, 2016 at his home.
He was born October 16, 1972 in Saranac Lake, NY the son of Ralph James and Christine Woodfork Kilmer of Gettysburg, PA.
James was a member of St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church. He was a 1990 graduate of Saranac Lake High School. Following graduation he was employed with the Adirondack Daily Enterprise newspaper as a route driver. After his family moved to Gettysburg he took a job at the former Gingerbread Man restaurant as a cook. For a brief time he worked with his father at Knouse Foods, but then returned to Gettysburg Eddie’s where all totaled he worked for 20 years. James loved baseball especially the New York Yankees and enjoyed music.
In addition to his parents he is survived by two sisters; Jackie Kilmer, her husband John Mark Ramsey and their son Warren Ramsey of Gettysburg, PA, Jocelyn Kilmer of Santa Clarita, CA, and a brother, Jason Kilmer of Gettysburg, PA.
A Christian Wake service will be held Wednesday, March 9th at 5:30 PM at Monahan Funeral Home in Gettysburg, PA. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday from 3:30 PM until the time of the service.
