Obituary for James D. Shriner
James D. Shriner, 57, of Gettysburg, PA died Friday afternoon, April 15, 2016 at the York Hospital.
Born January 27, 1959 in Gettysburg, PA he was the son of Mazie J. (Cool) Shriner, of Gettysburg and the late Lawrence J. Shriner.
Mr. Shriner worked for 27 years as a custodian for the Upper Adams School District. He was an avid bowler.
In addition to his mother, James is survived by six siblings, Cecelia J. Miller and her husband Joseph, of Gettysburg, Mark A. Shriner, of Biglerville, Lawrence J. Shriner, of Gettysburg, Dennis C. Shriner and his wife Jacqueline, of Gettysburg, Virginia M. Loose and her husband John, of Gettysburg, Ann M. Peters and her husband Joseph, of Biglerville, as well as many nieces, nephews, and great nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by two nephews, Ronny and Corey Miller.
Funeral services will be held 11:00 AM, Thursday, April 21, 2016 at the Monahan Funeral Home, 125 Carlisle St., Gettysburg. The family will receive friends from 10:00 until the time of the service Thursday at the funeral home. Interment will be private and at the convenience of the family.
