
Obituary for James E. Alveberg
James E. Alveberg, 84, of Gettysburg, PA died Friday morning August 9, 2019, at Hanover Hospital.
Born November 3, 1934 in Collingdale, PA, he was the son of the late Pauline (Trickett) Alveberg and Emil Alveberg. He was the husband of the late Elnora (Booth) Alveberg, to whom he was married for over 50 years.
Mr. Alveberg was a graduate of Collingdale High School and West Chester University, where he went on to be a music teacher in the Bensalem School District. He was a member of the Lion's Club, and VFW. He was a veteran of the US National Guard. He loved his two dogs, trading in the stock market, playing the trumpet, and visiting with friends and neighbors. He contributed to many charities during his lifetime.
Preceded in death by his wife and parents, as well as sisters Shirley (Alveberg) Riddle and Nancy (Alveberg) Rosser. James is survived by his sister, Grace (Alveberg) Watson and numerous nieces and nephews.
