Obituary for Janet M. Smith
Janet Marie “Dolly” Smith, 83 of Shippensburg, PA died Wednesday, February 21, 2018 at UPMC Montefiore in Pittsburgh, PA.
She was born October 26, 1934 in Gettysburg, PA the daughter of the late Clare and Annie McGuigan Geisler.
Janet was predeceased by her husband, Harold F. Smith who died in 1990, a son Michael L. Smith who died in 2017, a daughter-in-law, Brenda M. Smith who died in 2017. Also by five siblings; Delphine Seifrit, Catherine Sell, Harold Geisler, Evelyn Sell and Wilbur Geisler.
She is survived by two sons; Richard F. Smith of Shippensburg, PA, David J. Smith and his wife Lisa of York Springs, PA, two daughters; Diane M. MacBeth and her husband Donald of Biglerville, PA, Dorothy L. Stevens and her husband Steven of Shippensburg, PA, daughter-in-law Edy Smith of Fayetteville, PA, nine grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren.
Janet enjoyed her cats, crocheting but most of all spending time with family.
Funeral Services will be private and at the convenience of the family. Interment will be in Evergreen Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorials can be made to the Adams County SPCA, 11 Goldenville Road, Gettysburg, PA 17325.
