Obituary for Jason Dominic Gilbert
Jason Dominic Gilbert, 31, died Friday May 14, 2016 from a motorcycle accident.
He is survived by his parents, Garret W. & Kathy L. Gilbert, Sr. of Gettysburg, PA and mother Rhonda Kaye Hart, of Hagerstown, MD. He is also survived by the love of his life Jessica Sheely, and her two children Victoria and Gavin of Hanover, PA. Other survivors include brothers, Garret Wayne Gilbert Jr, 36
of Gettysburg PA, Michael Bard, 38 of Tega Cay, South Carolina and Jeffrey Killian 41 of Alexandria, LA and his sister, Juliane Bard, 36 of Gettysburg, PA. He was predeceased by a brother Jamie Killian. He also had 2 very special pets, Mac his Pit mix that he has had since he was 19 and Cora a French Bulldog rescue who is 5 months old. He also has many cousins, aunts and uncles.
Jason worked as an installer for Battlefield Hearth and Solar for Richard Watson, who was not only his employer, but also a good friend.
Jason "Gilly" was Sargent 2 for his motorcycle club and a highly respected member of the mc community. In his teens, Jason was involved with The Blue & Grey Cadets, a military style youth drill team under the IBPOE of the World, Lincoln Lodge and Lincoln Temple of Gettysburg PA. He was active with them from 1999-2000.
Funeral Services will be held at the Gettysburg Fire Dept. Hall, 39 N. Stratton St., Gettysburg, PA at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, May 20, 2016. Burial will be in Oak Lawn Memorial Gardens, Gettysburg. A viewing for Jason will be held on Thursday from 5-8 p.m. and on Friday from 10-11 a.m. at the fire hall.
